Around Manaslu or Manaslu Circuit Trek is located in Lamjung District of Nepal which is widely considered as one of the challenging treks in Nepal. The Manaslu trek offers a perfect combination of the rich cultural heritage in the region with the unsurpassed natural beauty of the Himalayan Range. Manaslu trek provides spectacular beauty along the border of Nepal and Tibet and is now a controlled trekking route, allowing organized trekking groups with special permits to gain entry into this region. Today you will take a half day guided Kathmandu sightseeing of World Heritage sites. You will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath Stupa. After the sightseeing, we will be doing necessary preparation for the trip. You may wish to do some shopping of trekking gears such as pants, trousers, t shirts, jacket, trekking boats, hats, caps, globes, water bottles etc which are found everywhere in Thamel at a reasonable price.

Today we will set off early towards Sotikhola. The drive is an enjoyable drive where we can see the countryside with some beautiful mountain views. The road till Dhading is good but once we start towards Arughat the raod will be rough and bumpy. On reaching Arughat we continue to Sotikhola and overnight.

Today we will cross a bridge and trek through the Sal Forest and climb to a ridge above the Budi Gandaki River. We then reach Khursane and then continue to the Gurung Village of Labubesi. We will further climb behind a rocky hill where the valley is open to the Budhi Gandaki River. We head down to the river and cross a suspension bridge to reach Machha Khola Village.

We will walk up and down through a narrow trail which brings us to Khorlabesi. After few more ups and downs of walking we will reach a famous spot called Tatopani (Hot Spring). From there we will walk uphill and then we will cross a suspension bridge over Budi Gandaki. We will continue our walk over a ridge to Dobhan and upon crossing a suspension bridge over the Yaru Khola we will climb the stone stairs to Tharo Bharyang. We trek over a ridge along the river and climb towards the village of Jagat where we will stay for the night.

We begin today’s trek by climbing over a rocky ridge to Salleri and then descend to Sirdibas where the valley widens a bit and the trail continues to Ghatte Khola. Passing a long suspension bridge in Philim which is a big Gurung Village, we will walk north and towards millet fields to Ekle Bhatti. The route will enter a steep gorge from where we will descent to the gully and slopes. We continue to walk the trail towards a valley and pass through bamboo forest to Deng Khola. Once we cross the river we will reach our destination for the night, the Deng Village.

Today morning we will cross Budhi Gandaki and climb to Rana at a height of 1910m. Then we will head towards Budi Gandaki valley passing through forests. Then we walk towards Prok Village from where the sights of Siringi Himals look spectacular. We cross Budi Gandaki and then reach a spot which trails to a narrow gorge leading to lesser dense forest and a good train to walk. The walk will be a pleasant one with a climb to reach Namrung where we will overnight.

Today we can have good views of Siring and Ganesh Himal from Namrung village and also Himchuli in the south. We have to climb steadily and pass through forests to reach Lihi village which has many Chortens and barley terraces. The trail now descends and crosses the valley of Simnang Himal and Ganesh Himal. Then we reach Sho and Lho village from where amazing views of mount Manaslu can be seen. We then continue to Samagoan or Sama Village where we will spend our night.

Today is a free day for acclimatization in Samagaon. We can spend the day by doing some tour around the village and learn the Sherpa culture of the village. We can see thousand of mani stones, Buddhism related pictures and sights, traditional clothes & ornaments. We can even explore an old Gompa (Pungyen Gompa) which lies near to the village on a small hill.

Today we descend the Budi Gandaki River and walk the trails to reach the Manaslu Base Camp. The Larkya La trail passes through several mani walls and the trails also passes through juniper and birch forests of Kermo Kharka. We then cross a wooden bridge over Budi Gandaki and finally reach Samdo.

Today we will rest and acclimatize again. So we can make use of the day by hiking to the trade passes to Tibet which is just behind the Samdo village and from there you will have beautiful sights of Mount Manaslu along with other Himalayan ranges including Simrang, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Larkye Pass, Cheo and also Kang Guru behind the pass. Back to Samdo and overnight.

Today we will walk down the edge and cross the wooden bridge over Budi Gandaki and walk upwards crossing streams and witnessing Larkya Glacier and then the valley of Salka Khola and ascend to the stone guest house (4450m), which is a shelter called Dharamshala also known as Larke Phedi.

After a short climb, we reach a valley on the north side of the Larkya Glaciers from where we can enjoy amazing views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. Then we cross moraines of the glacier, making gradual ascent through the pass. From the pass there are outstanding view of Humlung Himal, Chee Himal, Hangguru and the huge Annapurna II. In the evening the views of Mount Manaslu will make an overwhelming experience.

You can enjoy the great views of Mount Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal. We will walk to Tilije today by descending from Bimthang by crossing high pastures (Sangure Kharka) followed by a bridge over Dudh Khola. We will walk through the rhododendron forest and follow a trail through a narrow valley till we reach the highest cultivated land of the valley at Karche (2785m). We will pass the village of Gho and finally arrive at Tilije where we will overnight.

Today we will ascend through a village on stone paved trail and cross the bridge over Dudh Khola and reach Thonje Village. We proceed to Dharapani passing a police check point on the way. From Dharapani the famous Annapurna Circuit section starts. Later we cross Karte Village and cross a bridge over Marshyangdi Khola. We will now reach the village of Tal which is located at the foot of a large waterfall.

Today we will walk a trail to reach Chyamje Village crossing the Marshyangdi Khola. Then we walk through terrace fields and villages of the hillside. We then descend through rhododendron and pine forests to Syange where we will overnight.

Today we will drive from Syange to Besi Sahar which offers beautiful views of the mountains and landscapes along the banks of Marshyangdi and Trishuli rivers. We can also see small villages along the way with farming terraces. We continue our journey till we reach Kathmandu. Once we arrive in Kathmandu, check in to hotel and rest for a while.
In the evening we will proceed for last minute shopping and farewell dinner with cultural show in a traditional Nepalese restaurant hosted by our company to celebrate your successful completion of the trek.

Today you are free until your departure time to Airport. You can rest or relax or do shopping if you have some time. Our representative will come to pick you up 3 hours prior to departure time and transfer you to Airport. Have a good flight back home with beautiful Himalayan memories of Nepal.

Treks in Nepal are characterized by high altitude, remote and rugged trails, tricky turns and rocky roads, extremely lengthy walks, and unusual accommodation, making them some of the most challenging. However, these experiences make up an adventurous and memorable trek.
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is generally considered moderately challenging. Trekkers will need to traverse through taxing terrains to complete it. The rugged and remote landscapes of the region require a lengthy walk.
The Manaslu circuit Trek costs around From USD 1800- 2200 per person for a package of up to 16 days. This cost can vary if you choose to extend the trip and visit other spots in the region.
Manaslu trail follows the area from Jagat to Bimthang, which is declared a restricted region, so it is mandatory for trekkers to hire a guide for the Manaslu Circuit Trek.
You can begin your tour to Manaslu Circuit from Kathmandu by taking a direct bus from Gongabu Bus Park. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Dhading or Malekhu on the Prithvi Highway and take a local bus or jeep from there.
The total distance of the Manaslu Circuit is 177 kilometers (110 miles). However, this distance may vary depending on the itinerary. Some trekking companies choose to begin in Arughat Bazar, while others start at Soti Khola.
