The local currency is the Nepalese Rupee (NPR). Credit cards are accepted in many hotels and restaurants in cities, but you’ll need cash for smaller towns and shops.
You can get a visa on arrival at the airport. You’ll need your passport with minimum 6 months validity and cash (USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days) to pay for the visa fee.
