Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal, standing at 6461m (21,190 feet), offering an incredible adventure for those seeking a challenge in the Himalayas. Best tackled during spring and autumn, the peak provides breathtaking panoramic views of some of the highest mountains in the world, including Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga.
Despite its height, Mera Peak is considered a moderate climb, suitable for individuals who are physically fit and have a passion for mountaineering. The trek involves high-altitude ascents, and climbers need to be prepared for both the physical challenge and the effects of altitude. During the expedition, our experienced Sherpa climbers will provide essential mountaineering training and guidance at the base camp.
The journey to Mera Peak will be conducted primarily in tea houses for comfort and affordability, except for the first couple of days when accommodation will be in tents due to the lack of tea houses.
The climb itself is a great option for those with basic wilderness and mountaineering experience, offering an exciting and rewarding challenge with stunning views and a true sense of adventure. The summit can often be reached on the same day, allowing climbers to return to Khare afterward in favorable weather conditions.
