The Mardi Himal trek is an ideal choice for trekkers looking for quiet and isolated routes in the Annapurna Region. The trek is also a good choice for those looking for an ‘off the beaten path’ trekking experience in Nepal. Since it is a bit isolated the trek is less touristy but there is a presence of tea houses for overnight stays. The trip covers some of the breathtaking glacial valleys and the hidden landscape of Annapurna. The trail is rough and slippery till Mardi Himal Base camp, but the scenery is amazing after all the effort. This route which leads up to the Mardi Himal base camp has beautiful views of Forests, beautiful villages, valleys, rivers, terraced farms, and the mesmerizing views of Annapurna, Machhepuchhre (Fishtail), and Huichuli.
We start this trip with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and then a short drive from Pokhara to Phedi on the next day. Phedi is the starting point of our trek which will later lead us to Deurali, Forest Camp, Low Camp, and High Camp with an upper view point from where we can have excellent views of Mardi Himal and other Himalayan panoramas.
