The Mardi Himal trek is an ideal choice for trekkers seeking a quiet and isolated route in the Annapurna Region. This trek is perfect for those who want an "off the beaten path" experience in Nepal. Though it is relatively less touristy, there are tea houses along the way for overnight stays, making it a manageable yet secluded adventure.
The trail takes you through breathtaking glacial valleys and offers a hidden glimpse of the Annapurna massif. Although the path is rough and slippery until reaching Mardi Himal Base Camp, the stunning scenery makes the effort worthwhile. Along the way, you will encounter beautiful forests, charming villages, terraced farms, and rivers, with mesmerizing views of Annapurna, Machapuchhre (Fishtail), and Huichuli.
We begin the journey with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, followed by a short drive from Pokhara to Phedi the next day. Phedi marks the starting point of our trek, which will lead us through Deurali, Forest Camp, Low Camp, and High Camp, eventually reaching an upper viewpoint where we can enjoy panoramic views of Mardi Himal and other towering peaks of the Himalayas.
